How to receive Christ?

I told you that I would write a post to share with you how to receive Christ. Basically, why do people even consider becoming a Christian in the first place? Usually it is because they have huge needs in their lives. Some people can remain sane and continue thinking happy thoughts. Others just spiral downwards and if no one saves them, they will spiral right into bitterness or worse, depression. I believe I belong to the Others category, therefore, I need Christ.

So, what is the meaning of I need Christ? Accepting Christ and becoming a Christian is not about going to church and donating money to church. Many pre-believers have this misconception. They think that they need to be very serious about going to church before they want to accept Christ which is to become a Christian, otherwise, they are hypocrites. This is not biblical.

You do not have to go to church to become a Christian. All you need to do is to say a very simple prayer ALOUD with all your heart.

Sinner's Prayer
Dear God/Father/Lord (whichever is fine),

I acknowledge I am a sinner as I have done wrong things in my life. I want to invite Jesus Christ into my heart and my life so that His blood will wash my sins away and I could start a new life as a child of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins so that I would have eternal life in heaven.

In Jesus's name,
Amen

After saying this simple prayer, God hears you. In future, you can pray to God anytime and anywhere. Always start with Dear God/Father/Lord, (Say your prayers) and end off with In Jesus's name, Amen. Some pre-believers also feel bad about always treating God like a Santa Cross. Do not feel bad! God tells us in the bible that we should give Him all our worries and one of the ways of giving Him our worries is through prayers.

If you keep up your prayers, you will realise that you will fear less. You will be able to stop some negative thoughts. You will see the world in a nicer light at times.

And when God answers your prayers, you will feel elated and thankful.

When you feel thankful, you will want to know Him more. You will start to read bible to learn more about your new found faith. The bible is a fantastic book that will cheer your spirits up and keep your faith in whatever you need to have faith in, going.

Then you would want to go to church to sing songs or do volunteer work as a form of worship for this God. In the old testament, they used incense, animals to worship God. After Jesus came, in the new testament, they no longer need to use incense and animals to reach God.

There is no way to prove the existence of God or if Jesus is the Son of God in our life time. For sure, Jesus exists since our history textbook is AD or BC. BC means Before Christ. AD means After.

Take the step of faith. Ask God all the questions when you are in heaven.

Prof Arijit Biswas highly skilled in high risk pregnancies

I first heard of NUH through my BFF. During her first pregnancy, she was six months pregnant and her gynae in Thomson Medical Centre discovered that her baby's head growth was abnormal and they could not detect the reason.
