Prof Arijit Biswas highly skilled in high risk pregnancies

I first heard of NUH through my BFF. During her first pregnancy, she was six months pregnant and her gynae in Thomson Medical Centre discovered that her baby's head growth was abnormal and they could not detect the reason. Her gynae referred her to Prof Biswas and said that he was one of the best doctors to deal with complicated pregnancies and he was experienced with doing foetal blood sampling.

Prof Biswas was the one who suspected that the baby could have Thalassemia. True enough, the baby had it and it was major type, meaning, it would be stillborn even if she had carried him to term. They had no choice but to remove her baby. She and her husband would always have one in four chance that the baby would be a stillbirth. Her second pregnancy also ended up having an abortion due to the same reason. She shouldered on and conceived a third time.

By now, she was Prof Biswas's patient. During her 27 week, she had contractions and was warded. She was labeled as preterm danger. The nurse advised her to downgrade to ward C just in case her baby would be premature and it would be a hefty bill for NICU. Prof Biswas continued to see her even though she was under subsidised rate and not his private patient. He also managed her very well by suggesting the types of shots for her. She told me she trusted him wholeheartedly. She was warded for 5 weeks and could be discharged. Prof Biswas admitted her again to induce labour when it was safe for the baby.

I saw how NUH and Prof Biswas cared for her. That was the reason why I went to NUH instead of KK. I am wondering whether Prof Biswas would want to see my case. I went online and found out from forums that he specialised in high risk pregnancies. I wonder whether my case belongs to that category. Do you have any experience with him?

  1. I agree that Prof Biswas is the best. When I was in 27 wks pregnancy, my Doctors (4 Doctors) found that my baby very underweight and head growth under percentile. Lastly, I was recommended to see Prof Biswas. He took care of me very well until babybirth in 30 wks. Now my baby grows very well. Weight and head size catch up in 2 months. I could not imagine if I didnt meet Prof.

  4. I completely understand how it feels to be dismissed at church by people who are “trying their best”...

I just renewed my temple recommend and I don’t know what I was expecting but I wanted to express that my testimony is waiting because of all of this crap... every time I brought up a way I was struggling I was dismissed with a “you’re fine, you’re doing fine...” but no substance behind the “it’s fine”... I walked out with the recommend but right now that piece of paper makes me feel like a phony. My testimony isn’t where it was 10, 5, or even 3 years ago... I feel it slipping away from me. Part of me doesn’t even care, part of me feels guilty for not progressing and part of me is devastated that something that used to be such an integral part of my life feels like just a side note now but i am grateful for my colleague who directed me to the herbalist doctor Dr.Osagie Momohsanni who has helped me out with his strong herbal medicines today i am a proud mother after many tries in 8 years. i was beginning to get diver-stated when it all came to me like a miracle all thanks to Dr.Osagie with his help towards my life, may God continues to bless the work of your hand and i will recommend this great herbalist to those out there who find them self not being able to get pregnant.Always remember that God listens to our prayer even if it does not happen spiritually but he sends people to help us in life. you can get to this doctor through phone call on +2349038036558 or email on DROSAGIE99@gmail.com .

  5. Was at KKH on 2018...the queues are no better. It seems that many people are opting for Private class at public hospitals now.
